Enterprise Secure AI Adoption: Balancing Innovation, Architecture, and Guardrails

As enterprises race to adopt AI, the real challenge isn’t just technical — it’s architectural and cultural. How do we enable innovation while keeping data, identity, and models under control?

In this session, Cole Horsman (Field CTO, Sonrai Security; formerly AVP, Cloud Security at Global Atlantic and KKR) shares hard-earned lessons from building AI-ready security architectures across complex financial and enterprise environments.

We’ll explore how security, architecture, and platform teams can collaborate to:

Establish visibility into AI usage, data flow, and model risk.,

Implement policy gateways, prompt inspection, and identity-centric guardrails for human and agentic systems.,

Prevent “shadow AI” without stifling developer productivity.,

Apply frameworks like MITRE and OWASP AI Top 10 to operationalize AI security posture management (AI-SPM).,

You’ll leave with actionable patterns to align innovation velocity with enterprise trust — and a blueprint for securing AI from prompt to production.

Location info:  the meeting is at 750 Park Street.  You’ll enter on the West side of the Principal building and check in at the security desk.  Someone will help you get to the meeting room.

Come join us at Principal Financial Group on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 for our 4th Quarter ISSA Chapter Meeting!
