Security and Risk from the Board’s Perspective
Deloitte’s 2019 Future of Cyber Survey found that 77% of CISOs reported cyber being on the Board’s agenda quarterly, but only 4% indicated reporting directly to the Board. However, in the 2023 survey, Deloitte discovered that 86% of respondents reported a ‘significant, positive contribution on at least one key business priority.’ The trend is clear: Security and Risk have gained an important seat at the table in just a few short years.
In this presentation, Vinitha will begin by sharing the tough realities of today’s data security landscape. This information comes from research conducted by Rubrik Labs in partnership with Palo Alto Networks Unit 42, Mandiant, and other contributors. We’ll then learn about the metrics that Boards are interested in, as well as the metrics that do not work. Finally, Vinitha will talk about how Rubrik sees the upcoming changes to the SEC’s proposed reporting requirements for cybersecurity. She’ll also discuss Rubrik’s own security strategy and reporting requirements.
